The Board of County commissioners is holding two agenda items regarding gun sales and gun control at tomorrow’s meeting.

One is item 10.B.1 under the Public Discussion Items where the man who holds gun shows at the fairgrounds will speak, “sale of weapons in government facilities.”  The other agenda item is at the end of the meeting, 14.A.1 being brought up by Commissioner O’Bryan (who is running for office again).  In his memo recognizing the Parkland tragedy, he states that Indian River County has “limited constitutional authority to regulate sales of firearms within the county and would like the board to hold a public workshop for our citizens on whether the Board should exercise any of our constitutional rights in this area.”
