Juneteenth commemorates the emancipation of the last enslaved African Americans in the United States, marking the true end of slavery in our country. Democrats of Indian River will participate in the Juneteenth event held in Gifford on Thursday, June 19th from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm. Volunteers will set up a table with information on voter registration, requesting a mail-in-ballot, and more.
