Volunteer

Precinct Captains are elected officials of the Democrats of Indian River County. They work to educate, energize and organize registered Democrats within their geographic area (precinct). This volunteer position requires dedication to attending monthly Democratic Executive Council meetings and leading neighborhood volunteers in canvassing, phone banking and texting. Precinct Captains also represent the community at meetings and activities. A Precinct Captain must be personally motivated, work well with others and have the ability to motivate others.
