No Kings Protest

October 18, 2025 @ 12:30 pm - 1:30 pm

Vero Beach No Kings Protest organized by Democrats of Indian River

A growing number of organizations and individuals in our community refuse to stay silent while the Trump Administration, Florida legislature, and other institutions undermine our rights to advance their power and agenda. Since the founding of our nation, the collective power of the people and democracy have prevailed over the whims of any wannabe kings and their sycophants. We can restore our Democracy if we stand united like so many have done before us. This is why we urge you to take part in this national demonstration and speak out against the alarming trend of tyranny. Join us as we line the streets of Sr 60 (20th St) on Saturday, October 18th, at 12:30PM.

While the Democrats of Indian River are one of the many groups using their resources to promote this action, this is far larger than a political party. Your freedom is on the line, regardless of your affiliation

“United we stand, and united we speak against:

-The Trump administration and Congress gutting public education, Medicaid, SNAP, scientific research, the VA, and clean energy to fund mass deportations and the authoritarian takeover of American cities

-The attempts by our president, lawmakers, and media to undermine freedom of speech in order to silence their opponents

-State legislatures, including Florida, using mid-decade redistricting and other voter suppression tactics to stay in power

-The weaponization of our justice system to achieve political and personal agendas

-The calculated attack of our most vulnerable communities by Trump and his sycophants

-Tyrants using rhetoric to distract and divide the people while they serve themselves”
