Public Service Recognition Week is a national event recognizing the outstanding accomplishments and contributions of public servants at the federal, state, county, and local levels. County Commissioners recognized Indian River County employees at their weekly meeting by presenting a proclamation designating the week of May 7 through 13, 2017 as Public Service Recognition Week in Indian River County.

Volunteers are needed for Hwy 58 pick up. Hwy 58 is our adopted highway in Indian River County. This is our second pick up this year, we are required to do three a year. We will meet at the Democratic Headquarters at 9:00 to ride together to Hwy 58. Volunteers need to wear a hat, tennis shoes, and bring water. Graspers, gloves and bags will be provided. This should only take an hour or so to complete.

The event is planned as a day of gratitude and respect, dedicated to honoring peacekeepers, veterans and active duty military servicemen and servicewomen.
