After Tuesday’s Primary Election, Florida Democrats are fired up and ready to focus on winning races this November.
Last Tuesday, along with so many districts across the state, we protected our children and their right to a good public education. Peggy Jones and David Dyer won their school board races and beat Ron DeSantis backed Moms for Liberty candidates. Our freedom starts in our schools, and we’re proud to have elected candidates who will fight for our students’ rights to a quality education.
Congratulations to Congressional candidates Sandy Kennedy and Debbie Mucarsel-Powell who won thier primary races.
Mucarsel-Powell is a champion for working families and reproductive freedom, and Florida needs her voice in the Senate. Florida Democrats are ready to get to work to elect Debbie Mucarsel-Powell and send Rick Scott packing once and for all.
And just last night, the American people saw that Vice President Harris is the fighter we need to lead our country forward. She spoke about her roots, raised by a working mother in a middle-class neighborhood. She showed that she’s never forgotten where she came from: the values she learned there have shaped her life’s work of fighting for the people – from the courthouse to the White House.
She outlined a New Way Forward – her optimistic agenda that provides economic opportunity and protects fundamental freedoms for all Americans, no matter their party – and contrasted it with the dangers posed by Donald Trump’s Project 2025 agenda that would rip away people’s freedoms and increase the cost of living.
Finally, the Vice President rooted her optimism about the future in a deeply patriotic faith in the American people because, unlike Trump, who talks down our country, she believes in the promise of America.
