Claudia has lived in Florida for 37 years. After college, she worked as a journalist in the Chicago area and later the Mississippi Delta. She also taught university level journalism until she became a national field operations manager in the corporate sector for 24 years. In 2016, she retired to Sebastian. Martino has been active in Democratic politics since the 2012 Obama campaign in Broward County where she served as a neighborhood team leader.
During her time in Indian River she has volunteered with the Democrats of Indian River on a variety of political campaigns and action endeavors such as Voter Registration and GOTV (Getting Out The Vote). Indian River was once blue and she wants to help see it blue once again!
Claudia also volunteers with For the Love of Paws, a senior pet rescue, and the SPCA of Florida.
