Rally Against Police Brutality Peaceful Gathering for the Community

Thank You Pioneering Change for Organizing Rally

Merchon Green, CEO of Pioneering Change, Inc., deserves our community’s full gratitude for organizing a peaceful Rally Against Police Brutality on Sunday, May 31^st.  The rally included hundreds of people from all walks of life in Indian River County—all ages, all races, all ethnicities, all political affiliations.  Those individuals lining 41^st Street were a microcosm of all our residents.

The people residing in Indian River County made an earnest and open statement that racism and police brutality do not have a place in our community.  And while discrimination against any one segment of our population diminishes us all, at the rally the message was clear, “Black lives matter.”
