Florida Democratic Party Statement on DeSantis Berating High School Students for Wearing Masks
In response to the video of Governor DeSantis bullying students from Middleton High School for wearing masks, the following statement should be attributed to Florida Democratic Party Executive Director Marcus Dixon:
“We already knew that Ron DeSantis is a bully who thinks he should get to control everything that happens in Florida’s schools. Whether it’s wearing masks, the books that students are allowed to read, or the words that teachers are allowed to say, he only supports parental freedom to make decisions for the parents if they agree with him. This Governor doesn’t support freedom, he supports his way or the highway. He should drop the charade and stop trying to score culture war points.”
